Spring is in the air!!

The birds are chirping! The trees are starting to bud and we have seen flowers in bloom:) The kids and I are all looking forward to being able to play in the warm sun. We have enjoyed the winter months. Snow is great sledding down the hills. We also started to milk our goats. The chickens are growing big. We planted our garden Saturday before Easter. Our biggest yet! We have corn, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, cucumbers, potatoes, onions, watermelon, radish, brussel sprouts, green beans, peas, and more!! We all got down and dirty putting the seeds in the ground. I had a great time learning to handle the rotatiller:)

Homeschool

Learning about the chickens and goats has been fun. We also learned about the wars and took a trip to the war museum in town it was very educational. We learned that here in crossville, tn there was a prison camp but they taught the people how to read and write and educated them. Very neat!! We visited Falls creek State Park which was beautiful with its waterfalls and peaceful serentity! The little kids also loved the park:) Gardenening is one of our new subjects for fun. Timmy is even growin corn in his dresser!! Thought he would see if it could be done!! Soon we will post some of our pictures and stories for all to read!!

All about our Family

We are a family of 10. The oldest is 12 and the youngest is 3. We love Tn. We love season change! Our familyis very close and do most things together. We like to play games, sports, watch new movies, read books. Their is always a ongoing prank going on and a good scare if you turn the wrong corner. We are new to goats and chickens. We love it though. Have good farming genes from ancestors, thank goodness. The kids love the goat milk and say it taste way better than cow milk. With the price of milk going up in the store, good thing!! The girls cant wait to be able to go gather eggs from the hens even though that will be a few months off. Timmy is hoping to be able to get Horses one day and maybe a few cows. Mike wants some stinky pigs. He likes Ham. :) Dreams are good and fun to look forward too!!Right now, the creek is tempting the kids and soon they will be able to go play!! The older kids take turns riding in Daddys semi with him for a week or 2 at a time and learn all kinds of new things. We are members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We love the Lord and the promise we have of eternal life and eternal families!! We learn new things everyday together. As we grow and learn and try new things we will share them with you so that you may learn as we do.
